In my years of painting I've had numerous requests for wallpaper to be removed. I've done it but it definitely involves alot of scraping and hard work. What you're left with in the end is a wall that's bumpy and needs alot of TLC before you can begin the painting process. When my customers ask about wallpaper that's when I like to tell about stucco.
When most people think about stucco they think about exterior. Not so... over the years I've perfected my stucco finish. After our house fire we stuccoed almost every room in our house and it turned out wonderfully. For a wallpapered room stucco can be a godsend.
-----the product we use to stucco adheres to the wallpaper
-----all seams and bubbles in the wallpaper disappear...it hides
a myriad of imperfections
-----we can stucco smooth or give you an old-world look with
several colors of paint
-----and it looks awesome!
We just got a new camera so I'm going to go around my house and take pictures of all the stuccoed finishes. It's a beautiful way--with less stress--to take care of the old wallpaper problem. Ask George to show you samples of it today!
